After two years construction time, Europa-Park's new water world Rulantica, has opened its gates. With their nordic theme, Rulantica clearly distinguishes from many other adventure pools. The impressive architecture features Scandinavian landscapes and mystical sceneries, as well as the adjoining hotel Krønasår. The 32,600 m² water area offers family entertainment with more than 25 exciting attractions.

With regard to visitor numbers, Rulantica has aspirational goals. Expected are up to 700,000 visitors p.a. To be able to handle this rush, the planning team trusts long-term partners Skidata and HKS to realise a high performing accounting and access control solution.

With 25 cash desks at the entry, 21 gastronomy cash registers, 6 vending and payment machines, a comprehensive management system as well as various interfaces to hotels, the merchandise management system or accounting, the HKS accounting system is perfectly suited for a large number of visitors.

The new order terminal WV500 by HKS daughter Fischer Electronicsysteme is used for the first time as a self-order solution in the catering area. Also, the so far largest wristband dispensing machine with 10 output units is presented. It has been especially designed in this dimension for Rulantica and enables an issuing of up to 450 wristbands.
